Participants are responsible for following the rules relevant in Bergen and/or the municipality they are living in.

The City Government of Bergen has adopted local regulations and rules for the city applicable until 30 May. Beyond this, the national rules apply.

It is strongly discouraged to organize events with participants from different municipalities (kommuner). We would therefore like to ask participants who plan to follow the conference on-site at Scandic Bergen City to adhere to this rule and only attend the event physically if they live in the municipality of Bergen.

Host of the on-site event (arrangør): Scandic Bergen City, as the host of the on-site event, will be responsible for making sure that all infection control measures are followed at their premises during the time of the event.

Face masks: You must wear a face mask in indoor public spaces when it is not possible to keep a one-metre distance beyond quickly passing by a person. It is the participants’ responsibility to each bring and wear a suitable face mask during the event.

On-site participation requires participation lists and assigned seats: During the event, on-site participants will be assigned seats. Please make yourself known at the registration desk on BOTH Day 1 and Day 2 of the conference (even if you are attending both days and have already registered the day before). The registration desk will be manned as follows: Day 1 (1 June 2021) – 11 am until 2 pm. Day 2 (2 June 2021) – 8.30 am until 10.30 am. If you arrive outside of those times, please contact the hotel staff and a member of UiB’s conference organizing team.

On-site speakers: Kulturoperatørene will approach every on-site speaker with detailed instructions and ask for the presentations to be uploaded to their system before the conference. Speakers will get a clicker to use for their presentation, and there will be a stage monitor where the presentation can be viewed. Microphones will be wireless. Clickers and microphones will be disinfected between every use.

On-site poster session: If needed, the number of poster presenters and other conference participants in the display room may need to be restricted. Detailed information will be given before the poster session on site. As the poster session is planned as a hybrid event where all presenters also prepare a digital version of their poster, we encourage everyone to use this opportunity.

In the case of sickness: Please stay at home if you feel the slightest symptoms of sickness. If you start to feel unwell during the event, please inform the staff at Scandic Bergen City (as well as a member of UiB’s conference organizing committee) and leave the event immediately.
