Poster session

The poster session is planned as a hybrid event. All posters will be made available in a digital poster session, and in addition a few posters will be selected for on-site presentation at the CEDAS conference venue.

We encourage all accepted presenters to follow academic best practices and to make their poster readable at a 1 meter distance and avoid small text (minimum font size 14). Please note that the maximum physical poster size is A1 portrait format (width: 59.4 cm, height: 84.1 cm).

A short video pitch (maximum 30 seconds) will be shown at the beginning of the poster session on Day 1 of the conference. Guidelines and instructions on how to prepare and upload this video pitch have been sent to all presenters in a separate email.

The digital poster session will be held on Discord, and posters and short pitches will be made available on Google Drive to conference participants as well as our digital production partner (and associated personnel), Kulturoperatørene. There is one text channel and one voice/video channel for each poster. We ask all presenters to attend the Discord channels for their poster (poster_number_lastname) during the poster session time slot. We strongly recommend that presenters try out Discord a few days before the conference, ideally before Tuesday 25th of May, because the confirmation email can take several hours to be received.

On-site posters can be put up on the poster boards during the lunch break of Day 1 (1 June) at around 12:30 pm, and have to be removed latest at 12:30 pm on the Day 2 (2 June). Please also check the website dedicated to Covid-related infection control.

The conference will be live-streamed, including the digital poster session, but excluding the on-site poster session. The stream will only be available for registered conference participants. The conference will also be recorded for internal documentation of the event. Any future public usage of this footage or online publishing of the footage, can only happen with prior written consent from the presenters.

Presenters who wish that their poster and/or video pitch are deleted after the conference are asked to contact the poster committee at cedas2021.posters@uib.no latest by 3 June 2021.

Please note that it is the presenters’ responsibility to ensure that presenting a poster at the conference does not infringe any Intellectual Property rights, and will neither hinder them nor their co-authors to publish and/or commercially exploit the contents/results in the future.
